The Hook: I always suggest that you keep your title clear and specific. For instance, instead of “Marketing and AI,”it’s good to opt for “The Impact of AI-Driven Personalization on Gen Z Brand Loyalty” to immediately signal your focus.

The Abstract: It’s always good to include a summary of your research in about 200-250 words that includes your research problem, methodology, and outcomes, giving a general overview of your entire research proposal.

II. Introduction & Problem Statement

Always begin by clearly stating the research problem in marketing that you wish to investigate, such as “Decline in Brand Loyalty.”

Expert Tip: Always follow the “inverted funnel” principle, where you can begin by stating general industry trends before moving on to a more focused research question for maximum clarity and impact.

III. Literature Review 

While summarizing is not a good idea, linking concepts from various sources is essential in creating strong arguments.

Clearly identify the gap in research—what previous research has failed to investigate.

Keep your sources always credible and recent, especially journals, in creating academic value.

IV. Research Methodology

  • Design: Determine whether it is qualitative, quantitative, or mixed research based on your research objective.
  • Sampling: Clearly identify your target audience, such as Gen Z consumers, and explain how data will be collected from them.
  • Data Analysis: Explain how data analysis will be done step by step using tools such as SPSS, R, NVivo, etc.

  • Incorporating Visual Models: It would be great to include a conceptual framework diagram. This is visually beneficial in illustrating the impact of the independent variables on the dependent variables.
  • Academic Tone: My advice is always to maintain an academic tone in the writing. Instead of using phrases such as “the study indicates,” it is better to use phrases such as “the study indicates” and “the aim of the research is.”
